Spring is just around the corner

Well, Spring is just around the corner. Although, it doesn't quite feel like it today with blustery winds and temperature lingering in the low 30's. But it is coming so now's the time to start planning. Here are May hikes led by our favorite, Dianne Robinson, Wildlife Educator with the DNR. Diane is great and if you haven't joined her on a hike, this is your opportunity...four opportunities actually. Please see the attached posters for more information. 2017 Election Results

Congratulations to Steve Schmuki who won a new 3-year term on the Friends of Vernon Marsh Board of Directors. The election was held at our Annual meeting on December 5, 2017.

After a long tenure on the Friends of Vernon Marsh Board of Directors Laurie Longtine has decided to step down. Laurie was a founding member of the Friends and helped form the organization! She will be missed. Thank you to Laurie for her many years of service. We wish her great success in all future endeavors!...

  Important! One of the Friends of Vernon Marsh objectives is to protect the Vernon Marsh.  A 4 lane divided highway through the Pebble Creek Environmental Corridor north of the Marsh is a threat to our watershed, the Fox River and the Vernon Marsh!
