Spring is just around the corner

Posted by Friends Of Vernon Marsh on March 5, 2018 at 6:30 PM

Well, Spring is just around the corner. Although, it doesn't quite feel like it today with blustery winds and temperature lingering in the low 30's. But it is coming so now's the time to start planning. Here are May hikes led by our favorite, Dianne Robinson, Wildlife Educator with the DNR. Diane is great and if you haven't joined her on a hike, this is your opportunity...four opportunities actually. Please see the attached posters for more information. Not all of these hikes are taking place in the Vernon Marsh, but they are all in amazing places.

Don't miss this opportunity to get your summer started right!

May Hike Dates: May 8, May 11, May 19, and May 23.

Enjoy!

Important! One of the Friends of Vernon Marsh objectives is to protect the Vernon Marsh.  A 4 lane divided highway through the Pebble Creek Environmental Corridor north of the Marsh is a threat to our watershed, the Fox River and the Vernon Marsh!
